In most cases the people overlook the space that is lying vacant and does not make use of it to grow a garden. These spaces are usually the vertical spaces in and out of the homes. The concept of vertical gardening has helped to bring the outdoors right inside our homes and in places which were not thought fit for gardening. The idea of vertical gardening grew from the practice of urban gardening which basically agriculture is done in the outskirts of the city town or village. Moreover, the cost incurred in transportation of food, like fruits and vegetable ate into the budgets of the common urbane, that the idea of home grown food developed leading to the practice of vertical gardening. Today we have indoor vegetable gardening thanks to the gardening developing to places like the window sill and the walls of the rhizomes which are lying empty and other elevated areas. Though today vertical gardening has started in towns and cities in the high rise buildings to compensate for the cost of transportation the fruits and vegetable for the urban consumer, the idea of vertical gardening has been found to have a greater positive impact on the environment. This form of gardening is able to alleviate the impact of global warming and lessen the affect of the climate change favorably.
